Yes, I am Mexican

It's safe to say that more than half of the residents of Echo Park, CA are Latino, and plenty of them are Mexican.

I am Mexican, too. No, I am not fluent in Spanish and I never had a quinceañera. But I am full-blooded Mexican nonetheless.

This is a documentation of my 30-day stay in Echo Park.

I personally do not like labels and ethnicity/race is such a tricky concept; I hope through this blog I can reveal the real Echo Park and the spectrum of people that live here.
